RACHEL GROSSMAN-KAHN
ACCESSIBILITY DESIGN LEADER

Hi! I'm Rachel.
I’m a Senior UX Designer at Amazon (Audible!) specializing in Accessibility and Inclusive Design in Seattle, WA. In my over seventeen years involved with the disability community and as a person with a disability myself, I bring a deep understanding of what it means to build products that work for real people. I recently co-wrote and illustrated the graphic novel style book, Accessibility: The Illustrated Guide. I'm also proud to serve on the Board of Directors for Lighthouse for the Blind.
I earned my Masters of Science in UX Design and I have a Bachelors of Arts in Visual Arts. Prior to UX, I spent ten years as a professional sign language interpreter for the d/Deaf/DeafBlind communities. That experience taught me how to listen, observe, and connect — all things that make me a better designer today.
When not designing, I love kayaking Lake Washington, experimenting with AI with my 7 year old and drawing comics about my service dachshund.
